Antioxidant Vitamins Guide

Vitamins E, C, and A (also known as beta-carotene) are the most commonly known antioxidant vitamins, and there is a whole range of minerals that contribute to their great effect and act as antidotes for old age. When you take to much vitamin C, E or A especially is supplement form, health problems will occur. In the post-cancer fight and recovery antioxidants have also proved very efficient if taken wisely.


In the treatment of coronary disease, antioxidant vitamins are known to play an important role in the prevention of atherosclerosis. Many strokes and heart attacks are triggered from the tightening of the arterial walls due to the accumulation of fat deposits on the walls. The reduction of fatty accumulations and cholesterol levels take place when Vitamin C is taken. .


Because of their anti-aging properties antioxidant vitamins are used in cosmetic lotions and anti-wrinkle creams.
